Where breathtaking valley, rolling hills and mountain views

hold space for a sacred and soul stirring moment.

A place where the wildlife mesmerises,

the bluest sky stretches endlessly.

Where clouds do their dance to welcome,

and everybody feels that softening

… the moment they arrive.

At Sherwood Loves - you immerse, not attend.

Imagine, you, walking down the aisle

to the intimacy of just you and your closest,

creating this moment – your moment –

one powerfully felt and witnessed by all.

With neither distractions nor care,

only this sacred and soul stirring moment,

experienced and captured,

to last you through your lifetime.

The View is Your Event’s Greatest Asset

Across the valley, the landscape rolls out

In layers of forest, hills, and sky.

At sunrise, the light pours in soft and golden.

At sunset, the entire valley glows in shades of pinks.

On misty mornings, clouds drift gently across the sky,

like blinds letting the rising rays seep in…

They create presence. They create stillness.

They create awe.

They make your event unforgettable.

Nearly every review mentions the same thing:
“The views are breathtaking.”
“The valley is magic.”
“You can feel yourself exhale.”

This is the Sherwood Loves effect.

There is peace in every breath.

Why Weddings at Sherwood Loves

Sherwood Loves Tasmania is an accidental wedding venue… Sherwood Loves was a 1840s homestead, reimagined in 2019 and rebuilt over 4 years. From a simple sandstone homestead, to a curated high-end 3-building estate; rustic-industrial in style. The eclectic intention in its art and design breathes magic into the estate.

Since opening recently (to short-term and group bookings), Stephen and I have had so many requests for bridal parties, bucks’ night, renewal of vows, anniversary celebrations, and weddings. Why? Our guests loved these highlights:

  • A welcome wall that creates anticipation and wonder.

  • An expansive deck for the ceremony, with mesmerising, panoramic views.

  • Chapel experience as an option – at Church of St John The Baptist, Buckland.

  • A pavilion, with high cathedral ceiling, that can seat 42 for the reception.

  • Interestingly styled nooks and corners to capture moments.

  • Delightful surprises…

    • Fairy lights light the night garden and 11m labyrinth, where guests can wonder.

    • 2 firepit areas to socialise and story-tell.

    • A human size photo frame, created from antique farm beams, for group pix.

    • Historic restorations – eg. the original room, convict sandstone features, a 11.5m hand hewn original ridge beam and shaped stone plinths

    • Rooms dedicated to amazing artists!

  • Luxe rooms onsite that sleep up to 24 – perfect for the bridal party and family.

Everything you see and experience in Sherwood Loves is personal. It was borne out of a lot of love, creativity and hard work over 4 years to transform a simple homestead into a magical space with an expansive, sensurround valley and mountain views, and firepit moments under starry nights.

Together, Stephen and I are able to help you achieve the wedding you are envisioning… we ourselves had a spectacular ‘Gothic Glam’ wedding on 12.12.12.

We can do edgy or arty, when most do sweet.

We can do playful, when most do sweet.

We can do custom personality-based ones, when most do sweet.

We can do earthy, heartwarming higher consciousness ones…

AND we CAN do sweet and pretty, too! Nothing wrong with that.

Feel into your authenticity and you will know what is right for both of you for this most meaningful celebration. Whilst the world zigs, we can help you zag, if you wish!

Sherwood Loves – the accidental wedding place - is a space designed for presence and connection, with nature and with loved ones. Every room, every deck, every window is framed by our landscape. Truly, Sherwood Loves opens the heart of all whom experiences her.
